At Talented Tails , we provide personalized care quotes based on your pets’ needs, travel distance, and dates. Below are the services we provide and our rates. We are happy to discuss any services that are not specifically listed. As a Vet Tech, I have the experience to provide the same services as at your vet office, under their guidance and supervision. Transparent Pricing: All rates already include any applicable taxes and processing fees. The price you see is the total — no surprises at checkout!

Please allow 24-48 hours to hear from her and don’t hesitate to reach out via text if it is urgent. Upon your approval of that quote, we will then schedule your booking with Talented Tails.

Rates are based on visit length, distance, and level of care required. Add-on fees apply when caring for multiple species, extenuating circumstances, and/or travel fees. If additional cleanup, medication administration, or special handling is needed, rates may adjust accordingly.

⚠️ Behavior & Temperament Policy

The safety and comfort of every pet in my care is my highest priority. All pets must be comfortable being handled, leashed, and cared for by someone outside their family.
Pets showing signs of fear, stress, reactivity, or aggression toward people or other animals may require additional precautions or handling fees.
If at any point a pet’s behavior poses a risk to safety or well-being, care may be paused, adjusted, or declined at my discretion. We request you have a back up plan in place.

This policy ensures a safe and positive experience for all pets and people involved.

🐶 Dog Walks and drop in visits

Tailored visits to fit every pup’s needs — from quick potty breaks to extended adventures.
All visits include updates, photos, and lots of love. My pricing is based on the visit, not the exact minute, so you’re never charged extra if it runs long or penalized if it’s a quick stop. Talented Tails provides dog walking and in-home drop-ins primarily in North Port/Port Charlotte. We do service Nokomis, Venice, Punta Gorda, and Englewood but these areas will have a travel fee. Requests outside North Port or Port Charlotte may be available with advance notice and will require a custom travel quote

Standard Visit Base rate

$20 per visit- Varies between a fast potty break to a quick walk and/or playtime. Includes fresh water/feeding, cleanup, and photo update.

Extended Visit base rate( 30 mins minimum)

$30 per visit- Ideal for high-energy dogs or multiple pets. Extra time for a longer walk, play session, or special care.

Premium Visits (by request only)

Offered for specialized needs — e.g., behavioral, medical, or complex routines requiring extra time and vet-tech care. Quoted individually based on situation and are up to 1 hour no longer

🏡 Dog Boarding

Boarding Rates – Home Away from Home 🐾

Give your pets a cozy stay with 24-hour, vet-tech peace of mind.
All stays include personalized care, photo updates, playtime, and cuddle sessions with almost too much TL to go around. Evbery pet is treated like one of the family ❤️

Standard Boarding

$40 / night
Holiday Rate: $50 For Tier 2 and $60 for Tier 1 per night (see holiday dates below)
Perfect for adult pets without special medical or behavioral needs.
Includes walks, feedings, and love just like home.

Medical, In-Heat, and Puppy (ages 0-12m) Boarding

$50 / night
Holiday Rate: $60 for Tier 2 and $70 for Tier 1 per night (see holiday rates and dates below)
Ideal for pets who need extra attention, medication, or supervised care.
Includes customized routines, medication administration, and gentle handling by a vet tech.

Additional Dogs (same household): $20 each

🕓 Drop off and Pick Up Times
7:00am–130pm or 4:00–8:00 PM.
If you need a different time, please request it on your intake form — approval is required.

Pick-Up Policy

Boarding is charged by a 24-hour period (drop-off to pick-up).
If pick-up extends more than 8 hours past the original drop-off time—for example, an 8 AM drop-off with an 8 PM pick-up—an extended-day fee of $20 applies.

Pick-ups must be completed before 8 PM to allow time for evening routines. While I always try to be flexible with my regular and trusted clients, pick ups past 10pm are not allowed- no exceptions. We do understand circumstances that cause delays. If there is a delay after 8pm, but before 10pm- a late fee of $10 will apply.

🐾 Dog Daycare Rates

Day Care is Mon-Fri. Weekend day care is not available- boarding can be requested instead. Weekend accomodations can be made for extenuating circumstances only and will incur higher rates.

Normal Day Care hours are strictly 630am-630pm. We understand that delays may happen- if you will be late for pick up, please communicate. Regularly late clients will be charged a fee and possibly dropped from day care.

Daycare availability is limited and may be paused during high boarding volume.

Half-Day Playcare (Up to 4 Hours)

• 1 Dog – $15

• 2 Dogs (Same Household) – $25 Total

• 3 Dogs (Same Household) – $35 Total
  Perfect for a mid-day play session or short stay. Includes supervised play, potty breaks, and snack/rest time.

Full-Day Playcare (Up to 8 Hours)

• 1 Dog – $25

• 2 Dogs (Same Household) – $35 Total

• 3 Dogs (Same Household) – $45 Total
  A full day of play, companionship, and relaxation in a safe home environment with vet-tech-level supervision.

Extended-Day Playcare (Up to 12 Hours)

• 1 Dog – $35

• 2 Dogs (Same Household) – $45 Total

• 3 Dogs (Same Household) – $55 Total
  Ideal for long work days or busy schedules. Plenty of playtime and cozy rest throughout the day.

Initial Meet & Greet (Boarding – in my home)

One complimentary meet & greet per household. Additional or extended sessions may incur a fee.

Meet & Greet (Anxious or Special-Needs Pets- in your home)- $20
For pets who need extra time or multiple introductions before boarding or walking services.

Trial Boarding Stay (2 hours- in my home)- $40
A short trial in my home before a first overnight booking.
The fee is credited toward your first boarding stay.

Trial Walk / Drop-In- $20
A short paid introductory walk in your home to ensure your dog is comfortable before scheduling ongoing walks or visits.
The fee is credited toward your first service.

Meet & greets are an important part of my safety and success process. Because each takes dedicated time, travel, and preparation, fees apply only when extra time or travel is required.
All paid trial visits are credited toward your first confirmed booking.

🚗 Pet Pick-Up & Drop-Off Service

Need help with transportation for boarding or day care? We offer convenient pick-up and drop-off service (based on availability) within the North Port area. Pick up and drop off hours occur between 830am and 830pm. Services outside normal business hours may incur a fee. Please discuss with us if you need recurring pickups/dropoffs for day care as those prices will be different.

Distance & Fees (Each Way):
• 0–5 miles → Free (Nearby North Port neighborhoods)
• 6–10 miles → $10 (North Port & Port Charlotte)
• 11–20 miles → $15 (Outer Port Charlotte, Punta Gorda, and Venice/Nokomis edges)
• 21–25 miles → $20 (Venice & Nokomis)
• 26+ miles → Extended Travel Zone — Starting at $25 plus $1 per mile beyond 25 miles

Please schedule transportation requests in advance to ensure availability.

🐱 Cat & Exotic Pet Drop-Ins

For cats, birds, reptiles, rabbits, and small mammals — gentle, experienced care for your unique pets.
$10 – $40 per visit
Visits typically last 10–20 minutes, including feeding, litter or cage cleaning, and attention.
⏱️ Need more time? Extended care can be requested for an additional fee.

Add-On (when combined with other pets): +$5 per visit depending on needs

Services Disclaimer

• Behavior can vary greatly, especially in new environments. Pets who are aggressive and cannot be safely handled for services may be subject to an additional handling fee or may not be eligible for continued care. This ensures your pet’s well-being and my safety while providing care.

• For cat-only visits with minimal care, travel fee may be reduced at my discretion

❤️ Repeat Client Loyalty

Returning clients who book regularly throughout the year enjoy special loyalty perks — including waived holiday surcharges at my discretion.
To qualify, clients typically:

• Book at least 2 stays or services within a 12-month period, or

• Maintain an ongoing relationship (repeat boarding, walks, or drop-ins, even if seasonal).

Loyalty perks are based on consistency and communication — not just frequency — and may include:

• Regular (non-holiday) rates during holidays

• Priority scheduling during busy times

• Occasional discounts or complimentary add-ons for long-term, well-behaved guests

(All loyalty perks are offered at the sitter’s discretion and may vary by season or demand.)

• Referral Rewards: Earn $10 off your next booking when a new client you refer books a stay or service.

• Multi-Pet Discount: 50% off boarding for each additional pet in the same household.

Travel Zones & Notes (applies to all services)

🚗 Travel fees are based on distance from my North Port location 34288 and apply to all pet-sitting services. This ensures fair coverage for time and fuel while keeping pricing consistent. They are included in the quoted price. Our service area is within 25 miles of 34288. Anything outside our service area will include higher fees.

⚠️ Emergency & Safety Policy

Your pet’s safety and well-being are always my top priority. I maintain the right to pause or discontinue services at any time if a pet’s behavior, environment, or circumstances become unsafe.

All clients are required to have a backup plan in place—such as an emergency contact, family member, or local boarding facility—who can take over care if:

• Your pet becomes unsafe to handle (e.g., bites or aggressive behavior)

• I am unable to continue care due to an emergency, illness, or accident

• Severe weather or other conditions make travel unsafe

In the event of a weather emergency (including hurricanes, flooding, or dangerous heat), I will communicate with you as soon as possible to confirm or reschedule services. My first priority will always be safety for both pets and people.

This policy ensures every pet has continuous, safe care even in unexpected situations.
