Welcome to the Tailented Tails pack- Meet the Wiesmeth’s
Hi, I’m Traci — a veterinary technician with 18 years of experience, a lifelong animal lover, and a mom of five who runs a home filled with care, compassion, and furry guests.
I fell into this career by fate at 20 years old, unsure of what to do next in life. I was lucky enough to find a veterinarian who was willing to train me on the job as a veterinary assistant. I never imagined I could turn my deep love for animals into a career, but the moment I stepped into that world, I knew I had found my calling.
I started my career in New York, trained in emergency medicine, which shaped how I care for animals to this day. That background allows me to triage pets quickly and spot subtle signs of illness or discomfort, often before they become serious — an added layer of peace of mind for the families who trust me with their pets.
After having my second child, who was born with health challenges, I spent seven years as a stay-at-home mom. Now, with a house full of kids (and pets!), my husband and I run this pet sitting business as a family. Someone is always home, which makes our space ideal for pets who need companionship, attention, and a low-stress environment.
Since moving to Florida three years ago, I’ve been offering pet sitting full-time and absolutely love it. We’ve even opened our hearts and home to dogs who needed us most.
I love sharing daily updates with photos and videos so you feel connected and reassured while you're away. Seeing nervous or anxious pets blossom into relaxed, joyful companions — sometimes within a single day — is the greatest reward.
Whether it's routine care, special needs, or just extra TLC, I’m here to offer a home away from home — with a vet tech’s peace of mind.
My husband, Billy, is a local chef and a cat whisperer. We have 5 kids- Hannah, William, Maggie, Lia, and Henry. Hannah is home-schooled and a big part of our pet sitting family. She is always home to watch over any pets. She takes on a great responsibility and loves helping! We hope to have her help more in the future as we expand our business. The 4 little ones are always eager to cuddle, feed, and walk any and all dogs! They are learning responsibility one tiny pup at a time! There is never a second that our boarders go without TLC.
We have 2 dogs. Nala is 5 years old, a siberian retriever, which is a fancy name for a husky-lab mix. She is a very typical and atypical husky. She very rarely, thankfully, whines like a husky, but can also mimic like a husky. She matches personalities and even though she is way to eager and excited to meet every dog she sees, she quickly mirrors their energy. She came to us with severe separation anxiety after bouncing between homes which is why we started boarding. With that, we adopted our second dog, Jazzy, a 1.5 year old shiba inu. Jazzy arrived as a boarding guest and never left due to a change in her family’s circumstances. Jazzy was afraid of LIFE- she was so anxious she wouldn’t walk on a leash and therefore had accidents inside and in her crate. She needed extensive training but has show tremedous growth this past year. Both are best friends, a testament to patient, and now part of our forever family.
We also have four beloved cats, Leo, anna, Lulu, and Junior. Leo was our only male cat until last year. We've raised him since he was three days old. He is now 10! His sister is also 10. We adopted her with her littermate when they were 8 weeks old right before finding Leo. Sadly Elsa passed away unexpectedly last year. I am forever adopting cats!! 2 years ago we adopted Lulu as a foster failure during one of the hurricanes. She was one of the last to be fostered and the shelter was shocked we wanted her. They said she was so mean. My daughter has a way with mean cats, just like her dad, and we knew Lulu was meant to be with us. Last year, we adopted 2 elderly pets. One was 17 years old and blind. She was abandoned rand I let her live with us her final year despite the challenges. She recently passed away but Sabrina was such a blessing to this family! Junior is our senior 13 year old 4lb cat. He has had 2 other homes due to health issues and our kids jsut adore him. Each animal we care for, whether our own or yours, becomes part of our extended family.
Please welcome Spike to the pack. Spike was previously a boarder. I saw him on an ad looking for urgent fosters. I knew what I had to do, so here we are. Spike is SO happy to not be in the shelter anymore!
